Letter from Jesus

You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

What does it mean to live as a letter from Christ? What does that look like?

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about what it means to have faith. Is faith just something I believe? Or is it more than that?

A lot of folks talk about how love is a verb; it’s not just something you feel but it’s action. What if faith is the same way? Faith is both something we believe and feel, but also a way we act.

That's where our message from Paul from 2 Corinthians comes in. When we live as if we are a letter from Jesus in the world, that is when our faith has become action. It's not just something we talk about or profess; it is something we are.

Faith is not just about what we believe; it's about how we act in the world.

If I believe that God lives in you, then how does that change how I treat you? How I speak to you? If I think of myself as a message from Christ to the world, how does that change how I engage with and move through the world?

If we can answer those questions, we can figure out what it means to truly live out and embody our faith - to make it not just a belief, but an action.

This week, I invite you to consider how you might live as a letter from Christ. How can you truly embody your faith? Let it be intentional; let it change how you engage with and move through the world.
